In the Diocese of Gaylord, the sacraments of Confirmation and First Eucharist are celebrated at the same Liturgy. Children in the Third Grade who have received the Sacrament of Reconciliation and wish to receive their First Eucharist must be enrolled in the Sacramental Preparation Program.
Sacramental Preparation
Sacramental Preparation in our parish for children baptized in infancy or early childhood is a family based process.
Generally, Second Grade and older children are preparing to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Third Grade and older children are preparing to be Confirmed and receive First Eucharist.
Parents are always the best judge of their child’s readiness.
The Confirmation / First Eucharist Request Form and Sponsor Form for Confirmation can be found under Confirmation.
