Pastoral Council

The Pastoral Council is the primary consultative body to the pastor concerning the pastoral and spiritual well-being of Divine Mercy Parish. The Pastoral Council’s responsibilities include calling ALL members of Divine Mercy Parish to ministry, pastoral planning, and stewardship, as well as any other pastoral concerns that are designated by the pastor. The Pastoral Council is comprised of the chairperson of the various commissions as well as at-large members representing Divine Mercy Parish.

The Pastoral Council is the premier group in any parish community, for its purpose is to establish the mission and direction for everything we do within the parish. The Council has seven sub-committees, each one dealing with one of the seven essential elements of parish life: Evangelization, Word, Worship Service, Community, Stewardship, and Leadership. The work of these seven sub-committees has resulted in the 10-year long range plan entitled “20/20 Vision”.
